GUIDANCE FOR COMPLETING THE RFL's ONLINE DBS PROCESS
Allow at least 1 hour to complete the DBS Form!
As part of our commitment to provide a safe and well run club Southampton Spitfires are working towards achieving and maintaining Club Accreditation status and therefore require all regular volunteers to be Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) verified.
Club Accreditation is the RFL's ClubMark/Charter Standard status.
The RFL states that DBS verification is mandatory for the following club roles:
- Coaching staff
- Team Managers (match day assistants)
- First Aiders
- Child Welfare Officers
- Touchline Managers
Additionally Southampton Spitfires require the following roles to also be supported by DBS Verification.
- Physiotherapist (First Aid role)
- Webmasters/Social Media Moderators
- Club retained match officials
- Any other roles as decided by the committee

Once you have completed the online form you must email one of our DBS Online Verifiers to confirm that you have completed the online form, they will arrange to see your identification documents and confirm your identity - enabling your form to be submitted.
