Southampton to stage First ever Masters Festival!

“Masters is desgined for the Over 35 so come along and sign up” Adie Smith - Masters Lead Coach

The south coast club are taking their first step into Masters this year...

Southampton Spitfires are hosting their very first Masters Rugby League festival on Saturday, May 6 at Milbrook Rugby Club, to showcase the opportunity in the Southampton area for people to get off their sofas, clean up their old rugby boots and play Masters Rugby League. Masters Rugby League is a strictly non-competitive version of the game and can be played by anyone aged 35 or over The event will also put Southampton Spitfires in the spotlight and creating an awareness of Rugby League in Hampshire! The Spitfires have booked the site -including two pitches, clubhouse with nice hot showers and bar together with a BBQ area - for 24 hours which will allow visiting teams and players to camp overnight and use the changing rooms in the morning. Southampton are also looking to create a fun social night after the Masters games. Southampton are inviting all teams and players to come down to participate in this Masters event.

As usual there is a £5 festival charge per player and for those who need to camp it is just another £5. For those who prefer a hotel there is a Premier Inn close by.

Please contact Adie Smith so he can confirm numbers.
